The Minnesota AAUW funds contributions for 2024, based on the December 2024 report received from National AAUW, are listed below:
Grand Total: $81,856
The majority of the donations supported the AAUW Greatest Needs Fund (# 9110), but other funds were also supported, including Education & Training Fund (# 4450), Economic Security Fund (#4449), Leadership Fund (#4452) and the fund for the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders Scholarships (#2504).
AAUW Rochester had the largest branch contribution, as well as the greatest per capita amount of all the Minnesota Branches. We celebrate both a Branch’s total contribution as well as the per capita gifts to balance out the capacity of large and small branches. In 2024, Rochester was credited with a large bequest, which meant they were recognized for both awards. Every branch contribution represents the generosity and support of programs vital to the organization.
Through their AAUW Funds contributions, many branches across Minnesota qualified to honor special people as Named Grant Honorees. A branch was able to recognize one special person for every $750 that it contributed to one of the previously mentioned AAUW funds.
Below is the list of 2024 Named Grant Honorees. We acknowledge and thank these women, who were recognized for their contributions to AAUW, their branches, and their communities. AAUW MN branches should be proud of their work and financial awards they’ve each given in the names of these deserving individuals!
